Accessibility Camp L.A.

The event will take place Saturday October 20 at CSU Northridge's University Student Union (18111 Nordhoff Street). The goal of the day is to provide an open, informal space where attendees will drive the agenda.

Sessions can cover all aspects of digital accessibility and end-users with disabilities, from the web, to software, mobile phones and apps, online gaming, open source innovations, and everything in between. Watch this brief video from the first Accessibility Camp Toronto to get a feel for what to expect during the day.

Regardless of your level of knowledge, this event is for you. It will be a great opportunity for members of the design/development, usability, accessibility, other IT and end-users with disabilities communities to interact and learn from each other. We recommend you browse the Frequently Asked Questions, especially if you have never attended a participant-driven BarCamp/unconference before.

Accessibility Camp LA takes its inspiration from the first Accessibility Camp DC, which was held in October 2009. Sister events include:

Boston Accessibility Conference
A11y Camp Guelph
Accessibility Camp Seattle
Accessibility Camp Los Angeles is completely free to attendees.

Darn -- can't make it as will still be on the road back from my Yoga retreat in Mexico. But will catch the video, if Joe Devon is true to his promise! ;-)
