Those of you who attended the Beach Cleanup saw us award the first Net2LA community project to Sustainable Works. This was the start of our active engagement in the Los Angeles Nonprofit Community. While discussions of Social Media and Networking Happy Hours are fun? we want to create actual, goal-oriented change.
To that end, here's how Net2LA will start the New Year:
DIY PR & SOCIAL MEDIA WORKSHOP
- The Sustainable Works Community Project is underway (moving into website design now), and we are now looking for Wordpress-savvy programmers, writers, and NPO Gurus to move it to completion. There is plenty of opportunity to get involved. If you'd like to, please let me know how by replying to this email.
- We're starting a small events calendar featuring Net2, YNPN, Eco-Conscious, and other nonprofit happenings around LA.
- We need your feedback. Let us know your NPO goals, and we'll try to help you reach them.
Coworker Aviva Mohilner is starting up a Do-It-Yourself PR and Social Media Workshop called CommuniCamp. It's a four-week course that she'll be offering throughout the year. I spoke with Aviva on Friday. She has two spots open for the workshop starting this Tuesday, Jan 19,
and will offer a deep discount for any Net2LA member that would like to attend.
Aviva has a fantastic motivating energy, and the workshop information
will save your nonprofit thousands. To attend, call Aviva at[masked]
or visit the soon-to-launch BIGlittleBrands.com. Remember to mention JellyLA to get your deep discount!NEIGHBORGOODS
