This is a group for intellectually curious folks craving more conversation and connection in their lives. You'll get a chance to discuss anything from books to articles to films to things happening in your life with a small group of respectful individuals you'll get to know well over time.
Unlike a lot of book clubs which tend to be very large with irregular attendance, infrequent meetings, and the daunting task of finishing an entire book, this group is more about making connections with new people and learning together through conversation about things the group is interested in or passionate about.
Here's what you can expect: - Small, diverse group of regular participants you'll get to know well - Sharing of our weekly highs and lows, life events, struggles, ideas, etc (members share to their comfort level) - Discussion of media as chosen by the different individuals in the group (articles, books, documentaries, etc) - Discussion of any range of academic topics in history, philosophy, science, art, music, etc
Ideal members: - You're seeking more community and connection in your life and are willing to share with others - You're a naturally curious lifelong learner who's always hungry to learn new things and share your passions with others - You're respectful of different cultures, spiritual beliefs, sexual orientations, genders, and ethnicities - You're a good listener that doesn't seek to dominate conversations - You're willing and able to attend weekly meetups in the LES/East Village area
