Like it or not, we're all getting older. How well are we prepared for the future? If something happens, who will be there for us? What can we do when we can no longer care for ourselves? In this group, LGBT adults over 50 will have the opportunity to meet, socialize and share their thoughts, goals and concerns about their future. Please note, this is not a financial planning group, but rather a place for people to share their experiences and learn from them.
As we age, we all need to make informed choices-- for our own sake and for the ones we love. The mission of this group is to provide a venue for its members to help eachother make these choices.
This Tuesday and Thursday, we will discuss 2 very important topics. To register for the event, please email Gordon at [masked]
1. COVID-19: Over the past few weeks, much has opened up in New Jersey, while much has closed down in other parts of the US. Given these changes, how do we stay safe?
2. We’ll be watching an excellent interview with Mike Smith—one of the founders of the NAMES Project AIDS Memorial Quilt. We’ll be discussing similarities and differences between the AIDS and COVID-19 pandemics and discussing the questions “How do we help ourselves and others in the age of COVID-19?
