LGBTA Learners is a social meetup for learning and discussing new ideas. Meetup events can include book readings/discussions, museum events, lectures, talks, etc... anything that involves learning something new... and the opportunity to discuss with other interested and curious members.
A few new events coming up... thank you to member, Aikane Belez, for sharing the info about these Caltech outreach events... I've never been, but looking forward to them! They are monthly.. more info here:
One Friday a month, Caltech opens their doors and provides a free 30 minute public lecture followed by 90 minutes of guided stargazing through telescopes and a Q&A panel with world-class scientists. No reservations are necessary, and come for only as long as you choose.
Note that we will be unable to stargaze in case of cloudy weather, and our observing location will only be available for the 90 minutes following the lecture.

Directions to our Lectures and Stargazing Events
Our lectures are held in the Cahill Astronomy and Astrophysics building in the south of Caltech's campus. Our stargazing sessions are set up on the North Athletic Fields adjacent to Cahill. There will be signs out and volunteers around to help you find your way.
