Croydon VegSoc Lunch

N.B. Croydon Just Falafel has been rebranded, as they've left the franchise. They now sell meat, but offer separately prepared veg and vegan options (see full size veg menu, you might need to click on it, as Messup insists on shrinking it!).

This is Croydon Vegetarian Society's regular lunch, and non-Meetup members may attend. The venue kindly gives us a 10% discount.

Currently weekly, though Helen might review this in future.

I've created a version of The Grill@12's menu showing their veg options and added it to the description (sorry, I'm not yet sure if the chicken in the salad is a choice, e.g. it should read 'or' instead of 'and').

Drat, the menu filled the width nicely, now I see Messup has shrunk it... see instructions in the description to view it at full size.

Although their current listed salads are chicken or egg, Ashen says they'll happily make up one using ingredients of your choosing :-)

Tracey Hague's review "Having eaten lunch there today, I can advise the veggie burgers are delicious - well worth £3.25. For an extra £1.50 you can upgrade to a meal with the addition of fries & a fizzy drink. I opted for The Bliss burger (with Tahina dip isntead of chilli sauce) and a fresh mango juice (like all their fresh jucies it is freshly squeezed to order on the premises so worth £2.50). Only down side (apart from the chicen & beef burgers) was they don't seem to offer children's portions or meals (as they did under JF franchise) so I'll probably have to get my 2 boys to share a burger & fries & drink the fizzy stuff myself."

I've emailed Ashen about (re-)introducing childrens' options... watch this space!

Here's his reply - "I just bought mini burgers over the weekend and we are working on a kids meal option as we speak. As for the drinks, we already sell bottles of kids orange juice with low sugar and priced at 99p to match the fizzy drinks. These bottles are on the chiller top shelf."
