The Lotus in the Desert sangha meets weekly at the Sahara West Library from 4:15 pm to 5:15 pm (except when the library is closed for holidays). We are a sitting sangha were we offer mindfulness instructions at the beginning, sitting meditation, and finish with questions and answers (Q and A). Check the "meeting board" in the foyer of the library for the meeting room (usually it is upstairs in the "Board" room).
Things that will help making your meditation enjoyable (let alone a good practice).
1. The meeting room has chairs, but feel free to bring a sitting cushion or bench.
2. Wear comfortable cloths (those that don’t bind and can become a distraction during meditation).
3. Some people bring a light shawl to wear during meditation, and this is done as part of their practice, and sometimes it helps because of the temperature of the room.
