Birdwatching Hike at Horn Pond Woburn, MA

  • Jan 4, 2014 · 9:00 AM
  • Horn Pond

Winter birding can be an interesting walk.  Horn Pond has open water year-round which attracts many northern birds.  Dozens of species have been seen and reported throughout this urban park.  We’ll be travelling through marsh (on a dry trail), near two ponds, through typical second-growth forest and along the base of “Hawk Hill”.

What to bring?

·  Dress for the weather – hike will take place rain or shine

·  Wear hiking boots or other waterproof footwear – no sneakers, please!  (areas may be wet and squishy)

·  Binoculars / Camera

·  Bird Guide Book

·  Water / Trail Snack

·  Sunglasses / Hat / Other sun protection

Ages 8 and up are welcome.  Any questions, please call the Burlington Retail Store at[masked]

We are excited to still be offering this event Saturday. Even with all the snow! If we get as much as they are currently expecting, you probably want to bring your snowshoes!
