Mermaid parade, that's it, that's the description. Come join us over at Coney Island's Mermaid Parade (https://www.coneyisland.com/programs/mermaid-parade). Prime viewing spot for the parade is Surf Avenue. At Surf Avenue we can see both the motorized floats as well as the individual characters marching in the parade.Mermaid Parade Route.
https://goo.gl/maps/RCrTwsAKAQL2 Do not make the common mistake and view the parade from the boardwalk, you will miss half of the parade. Let's meet at Surf and 19th St, it's a little bit of a walk from the subway station, but well worth it as we will be away from most of the crowd. So walk to Surf Avenue and 19th St on the side where MCU Park is. Look for your host, a meetup sign or familiar faces.
The Mermaid Parade starts at 1:00 pm, rain or shine.
Get yourselves ready for some fun in the Sun at Coney Island, bring a chair, bring a towel, bring a BlueTooth speaker, this can easily turn into a beach hangout after the parade is over.
