LOPSA SD: IPv6: Is it ready for you? Are you ready for it?

Featuring a presentation by Tom Perrine: "IPv6: Is it ready for you? Are you ready for it?" Tom is a staff sysadmin at Sony Playstation, was elected the first President of LOPSA in 2005, and he co-founded our local chapter.

Tom will be talking about current status of IPv6 in the industry, describing which products on the market are ready for it and which are not. He'll also relate some experiences with two IPv6 rollouts (one at his home, another in progress at work).

Let's also talk about David Colon's proposal for a rural WISP in Escondido. If you missed the mailing list post with his suggestion, here it is.

Additionally, I hope to discuss future topics of presentation/discussion in our group. What are you interested in? What would you like to hear about? Can you present something?

Our meeting will be at the offices of Anonymizer. Also, please join us for a 5pm pre-meeting at Karl Strauss down the street (9675 Scranton) for some food and/or beer beforehand if you'd like.
