Ongoing, number 2: we will report on voter education efforts related to asking citizens to advocate for automatic voter registration, as well as our summer plans to inform voters about the new early voting law. • What we'll do Come join the Education Committee! We are currently working on an initiative to connect the LWV with civics and social studies teachers in NYC public schools and with NYC youth groups. Our hope is to use these connections to help educate middle and high schoolers across the city about civics in detail, to help them go beyond the education provided in social studies textbooks. If you have ideas, we'd love to hear from you. If you'd like to learn more, but cannot attend this meetup, sign up for the committee directly at https://officelwvnyc.wufoo.com/forms/m8htk8p1fiq9g7/. We'll let you know about future opportunities to help out.
