Speakers & Guests
Gemma Sherwood leads UX at the world's largest adventure travel company, Intrepid Group, where she moved up from graphic design into UX. She's a board member for Code the Future and co-organiser of Melbourne's Ladies That UX. She likes user research, customer journeys and convincing people to travel to the places that they only ever dreamed of. Follow her on Twitter at @gem_sherwood.
Abla Hamilton's current role of UX researcher at Redbubble has been an interesting ride indeed. She is a recent transplant (with her two cats) to Melbourne from San Francisco, CA. Before joining Redbubble, Abla worked in the design teams at Bank of America, Rhapsody and Snapfish. You can follow her on Twitter (@abla47) if you want to learn lots about the musical Hamilton.
Jasmine Kaul has been working on making government digital stuff (be it websites, social media or other digital content) better - or at least less bad - for over 10 years. As a user advocate, she has given particular focus to readability, accessibility, privacy and content design. She perpetually oscillates between enthusiasm and depression in a never ending quest to improve user experiences and give people content worth reading. Jasmine is currently heading the content team of the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services' intranet redevelopment.
Jane Nguyen - Connector of dots, maker of things, builder of people. Jane has spent the last 20 years building customer centered solutions and organisations. Jane is currently the Delivery Manager at Red Bubble.
Sarah Pan is the Senior UX Designer at IE Digital, a digital innovation agency at the intersection of the startup and corporate worlds. Sarah’s approach in UX is balancing user needs with business objectives, in order to solve business challenges and build elegant experiences.
