I agree, sounds like a sales pitch to me with organizer stating she is just sharing her ideas for her health and wellness. Good luck, hope you have a good turnout..

Thank you, Lea! I hope I have a good turnout too! The more the merrier! However, this is far from a sales pitch! I have a security alarm company and an insurance agency that I just started up. They keep me extremely busy, so frankly, I absolutely do not care if anyone buys Juice Plus+ products or not. I am more interested in getting some friends that would like to do this 28-day transformation with me. No products at all required!

Please allow me to clarify. I am looking for some friends to join me on a 28-day transformation. It is a jump start to healthier lifelong habits. I am using Juice Plus+ products in addition to implementing clean, nutritious foods and exercise. Anybody that wants to do this transformation with me can use the Juice Plus+ products, too, or any other products they prefer, or no products at all! At this meetup, we can set some fitness goals, weigh in, get some healthy recipes and trackers, and discuss some upcoming activities we'd like to do together to help us with this transformation. I am going to have some samples of the Juice Plus+ shakes that I am using. Nobody has to buy them, or even try them.

Hi, all. I rarely comment (here or anywhere on the web) and wouldn't now if I weren't really concerned about this "meet-up." (1) Sounds like a typical LADIES meet-up, but it's a marketing event for a "virtual franchising" opportunity (similar to MLM's of the past) and it doesn't clearly say so. (2) LOTS of controversy around this co/products/pricing... PLS VIEW Wikileaks, Amazon reviews, or research Juice Plus elsewhere. (3) Organizer just joined LADIES 10 days ago. (4) I'm increasingly concerned with the LADIES site being used this way. Wish we'd spin off a LADIES COMMERCE group for marketing events and send invites only to LADIES who join. Great to grow in new directions, but could we pls clearly define and separate the two tracts? Or at least require that people disclose the real deal in the title of their invites (maybe we establish a "sales opportunity" tag line or something?). Thanks for the chance to voice my concerns.

No this is not a marketing event for a "virtual franchise". This is not a "sales opportunity". I am starting on a plan to get fit and trim and be in the best health I've ever been in. I discovered juicing a few weeks back. I'm convinced that the best way is through exercise and good nutrition. I'm looking for some new friends to join me in this transformation. I also take Juice Plus smoothies. I have done the research and know the science that backs it up as nutritious whole food nutrition. I will have some for others to try. However, there is no obligation to buy anything. I am hoping, whether or not anyone wants to use the products that I'm using, that we can be a source of motivation and inspiration for each other. We can get together for walks and other activities. We can all make healthier choices. Please come and find out what I'm actually doing.

Thanks for clarifying Deborah, but this did sound to me as odd, and I was the first to question the intent. It still sounds indirect and I tend to agree with Aurielle. As we are all grown women, able to make our own decisions, this type of approach, tactic, or whatever you want to call it, is not my cup of tea.

Hi, again. I read Deborah's reply. My concerns remain re: the "social marketing" approach used here. This is different than a regular Ladies gathering to share the wellness journey... there is a specific product being put forward here. Trust that folks who want to will do their own research (beyond JP's literature). So, will not argue w/ whatever Deborah says about this and the approach taken... period. My greater concern is about how the Ladies group is becoming more and more of a marketing outlet, which is a departure from what it started out to be. This post apparently hit my "tipping point." Like I said... growing in new directions is great, just wish we would create more clarity and distinction.

Perhaps we can set expectations that multi-level marketing events can be a suggested event (if 3 or more RSVP, it gets automatically announced by meetup). Or if it comes from an Event Organizer, perhaps they should not send out the e-mail announcement. Just some thoughts.

I agree i think individual members can decide what they want to attend. I have been waiting for another wine party and I am attending the jamboree meetup.

Is this a meet-up? Location? This appears to be a sales pitch, if there are costs involved you should state that in your details.

No costs involved unless you want to use the products I am using to help me in this transformation.
