Intro on Essense — Noor Schopman
Noor will give us an intro on Essense as an agency and her role as CX Lead within the company.

Service Design and UX — Fiamma Degl'Innocenti
A short talk for all those who have heard of service design but that still struggle to understand its relation, in practice, to other design disciplines like UX.

After looking into the differences between these two disciplines we'll focus on what it means to take a service design approach to a problem and walk across a few examples.

Service Design in the Circular Economy — Loesie Willemsen
Service design can be implemented for many different purposes: to improve operational processes, to understand employees needs or to motivate people to behave more sustainable. In this talk, we dive into the circular economy. This will be further explained by referring to an existing case of Essense, about how to encourage citizens to recycle products and bring it to the landfills.

This talk will discuss Essense’s service design approach, give insights about the users’ experiences and interactions, and will explain the combination of Service design and UX design in this project.

With a mixed background in business and service design, Fiamma Degl’Innocenti has been practicing and playing with service design across Italy, Germany and the Netherlands. By advocating for a service mindset, she enjoys supporting organizations in driving innovation and leaving a positive footprint in society.

As Customer Experience (CX) Lead at Essense, Noor Schopman believes in the power of a 360-degree customer insight to provide personal customer experiences. She advises companies on a strategic and conceptual level about the transformation to a customer-driven, omnichannel organization.

Loesie Willemsen has a passion for social design, with a background in Design for Interaction and using the human-centered approach. She believes that behavior change is the key to social and environmental design. “People need different encouragement in order to behave a certain way, but everyone can be motivated one way or another.”
