We are going Thai! ;-)
But not any Thai but the one of the best rated Thai restaurants in Toronto! I have been hearing about this restaurant through the grapevine and places like Yelp (http://www.yelp.com/biz/sukho-thai-toronto) and Toronto Life. The words delicious, authentic and phenomenal have been making the rounds so I think its time we check it out!
It is wallet-friendly and the quality is superb! As such, as part of our Restaurant Exploration™ series, we are hitting this place and feasting!
Want to take a look at the menu? It is a simple yet tasty menu! Check it out! (http://www.sukhothaifood.ca/pdf/sukhothai_menu_2013.pdf)
Now a few important points of note and then we can focus on the yummy food:
* MOST IMPORTANT RULE: RSVP ONLY IF YOU ARE CERTAIN YOU ARE COMING. IF YOU ARE A NO-SHOW I WILL REMOVE YOU. SIMPLE. Why, you ask?***
* Popular, specifically good restaurants are difficult to book, specially during lunch/dinner hour, even with a reservation we might still have to wait a few minutes for our table. So PLEASE be on time! Aim to be there at 12:20-12:25, not 15, not 30 minutes late. If you are, the fact is the restaurant will want to rightfully have those seats back for waiting customers. This is very logical and no different than if you went with your friends. Do not be upset if you are late and I cannot accommodate seating for you.
* Please bring the $3 cash. If not, I can also take credit cards at $3.25 a swipe. As always I will aim for us to get separate bills. But that depends on how many we are and how busy they are.
* Directions below and after signature.
Alright, that about covers it. Now let's get to some good eatin'! Personally I am thinking I might go for a soup or a curry!
See you there!
*** Smaller events get impacted by every no-show. When we are only 8-12 for this kind of events and say 4 people decide not to drop by for any reason, that's a 30%-60% drop off rate. Plus you hurt the group's chances of getting seating at that restaurant next time as they will not give us a table if we overbook. So please be respectful of others.
If you are coming by subway, if you are coming from the North, East or West ends, the best way to get here is by taking the 65 Parliament bus from Castle Frank. The bus schedule is here. If you are coming from downtown, go to College Station and take the Carlton streetcar east and just walk north. There is parking on the streets if you are driving.
----- Lastly we need at least 8 members to make this event happen, if not it will be rescheduled. -----
