We are a Suffolk-county based social group for women in their late 20s to mid-40s. While most meetups take place in Suffolk, we definitely venture into other areas. Activities range from monthly dinners and brunches, rock climbing, beach days, wine tours and festivals. We are open to ideas from all members.
I’ve found this group to be a foundation for many friendships that go beyond scheduled meetups, so don’t hesitate to join if you are looking to meet new people and have lots of fun.
To keep things running smoothly, here are a few things to note:
MEMBERSHIP: Application does not guarantee membership. If you are outside the age range, you will not be accepted into the group. This is not to be discriminatory, but in the past I have let everyone and anyone in the group, and those outside the age range usually attend once and never show up again because the existing members are at a different stage in their lives.
PHOTOS: You must upload (and maintain) a photo. It should be recent (within last 2 years). Those with photos of flowers, pets etc. will not be accepted and/or removed. This is for the safety of the members of the group, as well as making it easier to recognize those attending a meetup for the first time.
ATTENDANCE: Common courtesy is expected. If you RSVP to an event with limited spots, make sure you really plan to be there. If an emergency comes up, let the host know immediately. No shows will not be tolerated and you will be removed from the group. Frequent last minute changes to your RSVP will also be noted and could result in removal. I always ask members to confirm RSVPs at a minimum of 36 hours in advance of a meetup that requires a reservation or has a wait list. If you don’t confirm your RSVP in time, you will automatically be moved to the wait list and your spot will go to someone else. If this happens too frequently, you could be removed.
