  • Singles Speak Discussion: Confidence

    Whole Foods Market

Let's meet on the 2nd Floor of the Whole Foods Market cafe in Glendale to talk, eat, drink coffee/juice and have an interesting conversation. This will be a great opportunity to share, listen and socialize in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. They have a great buffet area if you want breakfast and a coffee/juice bar. Note: This event is posted on multiple meetup groups. If you sign up please show up or be courteous and change your RSVP far enough in advance (At least 3 hours) so people on the waitlist can attend. Stairs are at the northeast corner at the very front of the store. The elevator to the 2nd floor is on the west side of the store under the “Cream of the Crop” sign. Exit the elevator at Level 2 and take a left, then a right at The Wellness Center sign and you will see the tables. We can split into smaller discussion groups if the turnout is large. Topics to be covered: What does it mean to be confident? How do you create more confidence in your life? What is the source of your confidence? A popular quote says: “Confidence is silent, insecurity is loud.” Do you agree? Why or why not? Is it important to you that people accept your point of view? What are some characteristics of someone who is confident? At what times do you feel less confident? When do you feel most confident? When does confidence become arrogance? If you could do one thing to increase your confidence, what would it be? What’s one thing you could let go of to help raise your confidence? What activities cause you to feel most alive? Do you feel that you are mostly owning your life, or that your life is owning you? What helps you remain grounded and connected to yourself? Do you have a strong sense of who you are? What role do others (friends, family, colleagues, partners) play in your confidence?

  • Fun at Fate

    1600 38th St

This is graduation week and it was hard for me to find a venue to host us, but Fate Brewing on 38th Street stepped up and is welcoming us back! Join us after work as we gather to socialize, mingle and unwind at Fate, a well known and popular Boulder brewery and eatery on 38th Street since 2013. Known for being a brewpub, they also feature a full cocktail and wine bar for those not inclined to drink beer, as well as healthy and tasty eats for those hungry after a day of work. As usual, this will be a multi-meetup event with the following groups: 9th Hour Happy Hour Boulder Boulder, Louisville New in Town Laid-back Singles Boulder/Denver We will likely be at the long community table near the bar; although they did say depending on their needs, and the weather, they might put us outside. Either way, just look for a large group and the table-top meetup signs. Expect the usual 30-50 people to attend! Hope to see you there!
