Time to get your Ya-Ya's out! petRock is a premier party rock band playing the best Rock from the past to today! They only have three rules. . . One, it must ROCK! Two, we want to make you dance! Three, we’re hoping to play what you know, but not what you hear from every other band. Try not to enjoy the musical talents of Lee Taylor, making you feel the love he has for the guitar solo’s and even leading a song or two. Mikey B might surprise you a bit, always adding a bit extra to the drums. Greg Murdoch, his partner in crime, keeping it smooth and low on the bass. Tammy Gibson, our Queen of the Keyboard will give us a variety of music and style. And don’t forget our lead singer, Casey Torrey, taking the Chicago area by storm. Her smooth soulful voice will have you singing along. We NEVER charge a meetup fee, we love you for your company, not your money.
Lucky Penny's is an Upscale Bar and Deli with Gaming. They have an amazing variety of Bourbon Whiskies and some really great Single-Malt Scotches. They have a wide collection of IPAs and craft beers as well as the old standbys. As you might expect- they have an adult gaming room for you to try your luck if you choose. They have one VIP gaming machine that is only the second one in all of IL. They proudly serve Boar’s head meats and cheeses. As per the menu customers can either build their own sandwiches or select from some of their delicious signature sandwiches. We will have a couple of card or board games going for those who would like to participate. Bring your own if you want. We NEVER charge a meeup fee; we love you for your company, not your money.
Celebrate the start of summer with the Waukegan Park District at the 20th Annual Ray Bradbury’s Dandelion Wine Fine Arts Festival, a free arts and music festival at Bowen Park! Ray Bradbury’s Dandelion Wine Fine Arts Festival will be held at Bowen Park located at 1800 N. Sheridan Road in Waukegan. Dandelion Wine Fest is a grassroots event sponsored by the Waukegan Park District’s Cultural Arts Division. There is no admission charge, suggested donation, or gated point of entry. All the performance events are free to view. Family activities, including a creative art project, are free. It is the local sponsors’ support that underwrites festival production expenses and ensures artists’ participation costs are kept to a minimum. (entertainment will be listed when it has been published). The event, first started in 1999, features artists, live entertainment on three outdoor stages, family activities, and honors one of Waukegan’s favorite sons, author Ray Bradbury. 1,500 + Attendees (2018), Over 50 Art & Community Vendors. 3 Entertainment Stages with Over 25 different performances.
Join us for Breakfast at 'Cuda's before the Car Show. Might we suggest starting off with their GREAT Bloody Mary in a Mason Jar? They also serve up a fantastic order of Chicken and Waffles with Mango-Habanero Jam or how about a Breakfast Burger; 100% beef patty smothered in egg and cheese on a kaiser roll? Not sure if blue cheese stuffed batter fried olives are a breakfast item, but you can have them for YOUR breakfast if you please (along with anything else on their extensive menu)! RSVPs close the Saturday before the meetup at Noon so we can call ahead. TYVM
