Ride one of Central Florida's most beautiful rail trails!
• What we'll do The Trail Riders of Central Florida are cycling enthusiasts who prefer to ride paved off-road trails. We have a standard ride on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (check the schedule for start times). The ride starts at the back-parking lot of Lake Monroe Park. We ride north on the Spring to Spring Trail, turn east to pick up the East Central Regional Rail Trail, and eventually turn south to the end of Guise Road where we take a break. We return on the reverse route though some days we add a spur to the bridge on 415 at the St. Johns River. The ride to Guisse Road and back is 32 miles round trip. If we add the spur to the bridge the total distance is about 40 miles. We start our rides together but usually break into 2 or 3 groups based on ability. Speed ranges from 15 to 18 mph. We have a no drop policy so no one gets left behind. Additionally, we have 3 regrouping locations so anyone who has fallen back has a chance to rejoin the group. It’s a beautiful ride, mostly through wooded areas and new riders and visitor are always welcome. • What to bring Helmets are required for all rides and earbuds/headphones are prohibited. Be sure to bring water bottles and snacks for the break. • Important to know Safety always!
