    Kip's Castle

    Kip’s Castle is a 9,000 square foot mansion (part of Essex County park system), the first floor of the castle is open for self-guided tours. The park is located in Verona and Montclair situated on 11 acres on top of a hill, providing spectacular views of New York City. We will carpool from Manchester/Toms River area leaving at 9am, pack a lunch, tour the castle and picnic on the grounds (or inside the mansion in case of inclement weather.) Return home by about 3:30pm. attendee limit and meeting location to be determined. :)

    Garden State Philharmonic performs The Four Seasons, the most famous work composed by Italian composer Antonio Vivaldi, heavenly sounds to lift your heart and spirit - right here at Grunin Center at Ocean County College. Go to Garden State Philharmonic for seating availability. Tickets are about $46.

    Holland Ridge Farms

    Absolutely beautiful and breathtaking fields of colorful tuilips...Weather Permitting.....We will meet at 9am at ticket booth(https://www.hollandridgefarms.com/tickets)...based on the weather forecast now showing in 70's and can get a bit warm after awhile. It is beautiful and peaceful here! Stop by the barns, when you arrive. You'll find, Hollandwood Theatre, Good 'ole Days Museum and Hollandshop, all with a little touch of Holland for everyone to enjoy. Pick a basket of tulips at the largest U-Pick spot on the East Coast!

  • It's almost April Fool's - let's visit Lucy!

    Manchester Township

    Lucy the Elephant is 6 stories high and resides in Josephine Harron Park near the beach in Margate. I've never paid her a visit - let's go! A tour of Lucy (inside!) is $8.00 for adults and includes fabulous view of the surrounding shore area from the top. We can bring a picnic lunch and take a stroll along the beach, weather permitting.

    This is an opportunity for members to begin to get to know one other.
