Grab your helmets, bikes and sneakers and join Lancaster Bike Club for beginner and transitional rides. Local members of the Lancaster Bike Club will be hosting a Bike to 30K program beginning Monday, June 5th, 2017. This program is designed to take cyclists from a five mile ride while gradually increasing their fitness level and mileage up to eighteen miles during a ten week time period. Lancaster Bike Club hopes to expose old, new, returning and current cyclists to the joy of cycling. The Bike to 30K program is a free event for non-members.
Ever wonder why we cycle? Because it’s fun! There’s nothing like riding downhill and saying weeeeeee all the way down. But if you’re new to cycling, we get it. We understand that 18 miles might be a little too steep to start. That’s why we are offering Bike to 30K!!!!
Each week, you will gradually increase your mileage. This program is designed to help you over time graduate to be a “D” rider while get acclimated to the club and its members.
LBC wants to support our new members and community to meet their cycling goals. As part of our initiative to encourage new members/cyclists to get out and cycle, we are offering the Bike to 30k cycling program. Spend just 10 weeks gradually becoming a D rider!!!!
Already active? Spend 10 weeks revamping your activity routine. The training program can be easily individualized and we encourage you to follow your personal cycling goals.
LBC Bike to 30K program is designed to prepare you to ride with the D riders and ultimately to increase your level of physical activity. The Bike to 30k program is voluntary.
Please plan to arrive 10-15 minutes before the start time of the ride & make sure your bike is in working condition. Helmets are required & each rider assumes their own risk. Please note that Listening devices are not permitted and cyclists should obey all applicable traffic laws.
