Welcome to Lancaster Catholic Singles! If you're over 30 and maybe no longer a "young adult" but you're Single (never married, or now you're annulled or widowed) and looking to get out and make some new friends, JOIN US!
Join us if you want to get out of your apartment and come do things for the fun of it! We partner with other MeetUp organizers nearby for FUN events-- and we aren't limited to only meeting people from the MeetUp group. We are your excuse to get out of the house, and who knows what new friends you'll make wherever you go! So don't look at who else has RSVP'd - just look at the activity and ask yourself, could I have fun doing that? Suggestions are welcome- so let us know whatever you like to do, and we'll build an event around that!
If you're an excited, active Single Catholic, looking for friends to go camping or hiking with, skiing or snowboarding with, ice skating or Christmas-gift shopping with, or in any way looking to just get out of your apartment-- please Join Us, and RSVP for the scheduled events!
We hope you'll play along with the group, and actively participate and complete the RSVP with a "Yes" if you're able to attend, or a "No" if you're not interested. Ugh- the dreaded commitment of deciding Yes or No, right? Why not learn how to lighten up and take a chance; you can always change your RSVP later if you change your mind! Pull the trigger and make a decision: please practice your commitment skills by using the RSVP so the Organizers know you're at least looking at the events and considering whether or not to attend. We really need your active participation to make this group fun and interactive!
Again, everyone's comments and suggestions will make this group more fun fir us all! Welcome everyone!

Note: If you have already been married please consider finalizing your annulment prior to joining this group. We're not a dating service (there is the National Catholic Singles Conference (NCSC) and CatholicMatch for that!) we are just a bunch of people getting out together socially. But this is your time-- and without your annulment decree you are still married (NOT single). I know, I've heard - my priest, my friends, my family all told me to just act like I'm single, maybe start dating again but they are WRONG! This is your God-given "me time" alone to fast, pray, reflect and devote yourself 100% to God alone. Consider spending more time getting to bed early to wake up early enough to get to Daily Mass, frequent Confession, consistent and regular Adoration as well as to read Holy Scripture, read other great Catholic books, watch Catholic DVDs, use this brief, priceless "me time" to really reflect upon the annulment process, and prepare yourself to face God, as we all will one day. Grow in holiness. Focus upon God and yourself. Fast, Pray, and make short pilgrimages to visit Catholic shrines such as the national shrine to Our Lady of Czestochowa (Doyelstown), the shrine to The Miraculous Medal (Germantown neighborhood in Philadelphia), the national shrine to Saint John Neumann (5th & Spring Garden Sts, Philadelphia), the national shrine to Saint Rita of Cascia (South Philly), the national shrine Grotto of Our Lady Of Lourdes (Emmitsburg, MD), the national shrine of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton (Emmitsburg, MD), Shrine of the Little Flower (Baltimore, MD), national shrine of Saint Alphonsus (Baltimore, MD), the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception (Washington, DC) and so many others within a short drive - these shrines all offer Confession and Mass as well as a gift shop with great Catholic books and DVDs.
