What we're about

We're beyond excited to finally be able to kick off the season! Woohoo!

COVID-19

Understanding COVID-19 continues to be an issue, we're asking for your help in creating a healthy environment to play in.

Please...

• Wear masks off the court and maintain social distance. It's not a political or comfort issue. It's a health and consideration issue. Read last part of this post.

• Don't come out to play if you're not feeling well. Have a fever? Other COVID-19 symptoms? Had the virus or symptoms within the past 10 days? Stay home! Last year, we played well into November, you'll have other chances to play. :)

• Bring your hand sanitizer and use it frequently.

On our end, we expect to have 3-4 courts available for play (1 sand, 2-3 grass) depending on RSVPs and are planning for 8 players per court.

If we all pitch in, we'll have a phenomenal time. Remember, together we rise!

Play Time!We play Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Saturdays is all levels. This is an opportunity to coach, learn, and evolve your game. We still play by all the rules.

Mondays and Wednesdays is competitive BB plus. Emphasis on COMPETITIVE. Players must be able to consistently pass, set, hit, and go for the ball.

Above all, we’re about great games, making friends, and fun times. If you’re able to laugh at yourself, on and off the court, we’re the group for you. :)

There is a one time $15 fee per season, due the second time you play.

Don’t spend your summer sitting around, come out to play!

A Note on Face MasksThis was a FB post and I don't know who to credit for it; however, the words resonated with me, and hopefully they will with you too.

When I wear a mask in public:

🔵 I want you to know that I am educated enough to know that I could be asymptomatic and still give you the virus.

🔵 No, I don’t “live in fear” of the virus; I just want to be part of the solution, not the problem.

🔵 I don’t feel like the “government is controlling me;” I feel like I’m being a contributing adult to society and I want to teach others the same.

🔵 The world doesn’t revolve around me. It’s not all about me and my comfort.

🔵 If we all could live with other people's consideration in mind, this whole world would be a much better place.

🔵 Wearing a mask doesn’t make me weak, scared, stupid, or even “controlled.” It makes me considerate.

🔵 When you think about how you look, how uncomfortable it is, or what others think of you, just imagine someone close to you - a child, a father, a mother, grandparent, aunt, or uncle - choking on a respirator , alone without you or any family member allowed at bedside.

🔵 Ask yourself if you could have sucked it up a little for them.

Monday and Wednesday Volleyball! Competitive

Oxford Park

We play competitively Mondays and Wednesdays. Typically on grass, sometimes sand. These days are intended for High Intermediate/ Advanced (BB+/A) players. The games are fast paced, and you must be able to consistently control the ball -- pass, set, hit, track and go for the ball -- as well as know the rules and positions for the game. Emphasis on CONSISTENTLY. It's difficult to have a competitive game, if players are not able to consistently control the ball. Note that if we have a minimum of 8 intermediate players who are still working on developing control and consistency, a separate net could be available to support your growth and love for the game! After all, none of us are professionals here! :) Too much pressure!? :) Join us on Saturdays, when we play all levels. This is an opportunity to learn, coach and evolve your game. We still play by all the rules. You’re invited to play as often as you’d like during the Season! However, to ensure everyone has a good time, please attend on days where your skill level matches the level of play. Above all, we’re about great games, making friends, and fun times. If you’re able to laugh at yourself, on and off the court, we’re the group for you. :) There is a one time $15 fee per season, due the second time you play. Don’t spend your summer sitting around, come out to play! Note: If RSVPs exceed the number of spots available, preference will be given to members whose level of play is most aligned with the event and who have also contributed their $15 fee. ----------------- COVID-19 Understanding COVID-19 continues to be an issue, we're asking for your help in creating a healthy environment to play in.
