What we're about

I am posting this for people who suffer from social phobia, or social anxiety disorder, particularly “Glossophobia”, which is “fear of public speaking”. I looked around to see if there are any classes offered for people with social phobias, and we did find toastmasters and also attended the class. However, it seemed more like for people who want to IMPROVE public speaking. We were picked on, people were going in front of the class to speak, etc. That is not what our issue is and what I want to start with. We need to start slow. Yes - it is our goal to ultimately give a speech.

If you avoid social situations, if you don't want a certain job, if you do not want to be picked on in college or in meetings, or cannot give a presentation, if your phobia is controlling your life, then this is the class for you.

We generally meetup on Wednesdays 7pm at Lansdale PA.

What are the signs and symptoms of glossophobia?
Blushing, redness, sweating, or dry mouth
Shaky voice or being unable to speak
Crying, shaking, or trembling
Fast or pounding heartbeat
Stomachache, nausea, or diarrhea
Problem focusing on a task
Tantrums and being easily angered

IF you are experiencing any of the symptoms above, please contact me. This is NOT a class to improve your public speaking skills, but is a class for you to overcome your phobia. Together we can do it. This is NOT a class for therapists, doctors, or to seek people to date, to observe or research people, it is STRICTLY for people who have the above phobia symptoms. Everything is confidential and kept within the class.

You must be 18 and older to attend. Please join and we will be in touch.

I know I do not want to live like this for the rest of my life, and I am sure you all are in the same boat!

Look forward to hearing from you.
