We will be discussing the basic steps of setting up a Laravel application, running it on your local machine, and deploying it to a server using Forge and Envoyer. Part One of this talk was last month and you can watch that on YouTube here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=__QgwBDMqW0

Agenda:
5:30 : Welcome & Introductions
5:40 : Q&A with Caleb Porzio (creator of Livewire)
6:00 : Building a Laravel app from scratch - Patrick Stephan
7:00 : Networking / Pair Programming

--- Welcome & Introductions ---

Everyone will have a chance to introduce themselves, grab some pizza, and get to know each other for a few minutes before we kick off the event.

--- Q&A with Caleb Porzio ---

Caleb Porzio is the creator of Livewire, a magical front-end framework for Laravel and the topic of the first LaravelSTL meetup. If you missed that meetup, you can watch here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j3haLUPGxGg

--- Session - Patrick Stephan ---

Patrick is the co-founder of Laravel STL and an avid user of Laravel since version 4.2. He is the developer manager at Curate, an event management SaaS company for professional event management.

This will be a session with some live coding going through the basics of starting a new app, compiling front-end assets, route and controller basics, database and eloquent basic, and if we have time, authentication, basic CRUD (Create Read Update Delete) actions, and form requests. We will also briefly discuss the options for local development.

--- Networking / Pair Programming ---

After the talk is over, we can use this space for networking and / or pair programming with other developers. Our goal is to have this one evening every month for Laravel developers to meet and help each other.

Also, don't forget to join our Slack channel (https://laravelstl.com/slack) so you can network and get help in between monthly meetups.
