External:OpenStack Overview by Dave Costakos of Red Hat, Hosted by Allegiant Air

Do you have an interest in OpenStack, Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), and the future of cloud computing?  If so, come out and join the Las Vegas Red Hat User Group in it's inaugural meeting.  Dinner will be provided.

Dave Costakos will be conducting a session designed to help you come up to speed on what OpenStack is and how it might be useful to you and your organization.

                                                      Dave Costakos

Dave is an OpenStack expert with Red Hat.  His role is to work with Red Hat's customers and with the OpenStack community at large to help teams evaluate, understand, and implement OpenStack.  Prior to joining Red Hat, Dave managed a large OpenStack implementation at Bloomberg.

Red Hat has been the largest corporate contributor to the OpenStack code base for the previous three releases.  As a company, Red Hat is heavily involved in the OpenStack community, the Linux community, and numerous other open source projects.

    Hello Everyone,

I thought I'd chime in here since the meetup is set for this Wednesday!

I'm the guy who started the Las Vegas Red Hat User Group.

I work for Red Hat - I'm a Solutions Architect. My job is to help and educate people using Red Hat Software in the western US.

My goal for the Red Hat UG is to have a group that is non-salesy, for the user's by the users. While it has a Red Hat focus, membership is pretty much wide open. My real goal is just to generate enthusiasm for open source technology. At the moment, there are a lot of eyes on OpenStack, cloud computing, and IaaS, and that makes it a very significant effort in the open source world. If any of that sounds interesting, we'd love to see you on Wednesday!
