What we're about

We are all on a path, trying to learn more, deepen our faith, explore new concepts, find new ways of understanding, create connection, meet like souls.

Our goal is to host meetings and events that help people "Be Still" and connect with the divine.

As Albert Einstein said, "I want to know God's thoughts; the rest are details."

This group will post events to help you bridge the gap between your thoughts and spirit - types of events include prayer groups, speakers about spiritual and/or self-development topics, meditations, etc. If you want to debate whose god is THE GOD, this is NOT the group for you. This is a group for people of any faith or no faith who have soul questions or who just yearn to interact with others in an environment that is spiritually based, without worries about judgement or condemnation.

Singing Bowls Meditation

Stillpoint Center for Spiritual Development

NOTE: This class is very popular and sometimes sells out. Registering on Meetup is not enough to guarantee you a spot. Too many people use the "yes" on meetup just to say they're interested, then are a no-show. Please read all the notes below before registering.

Different sounds can assist us in gaining access to deeper places of inner quiet. One type of sound is that which is produced by the Crystal Singing Bowls. This ancient art of meditation uses rhythm and sound to open the body’s energies, create balance, de-stress the system and encourage a healthy spirit, mind and body. Join us each month for a unique meditative experience!

Centering Prayer in Community

Stillpoint Center for Spiritual Development

Developed by Fr. Thomas Keating, Centering Prayer is a method of prayer that prepares us to receive the gift of God’s presence in Contemplative Prayer. Beyond thoughts, words and emotions, Centering Prayer leads to a resting in God. Praying in a group setting creates an atmosphere where the mind is quieted more easily, a sacred community is formed, and practitioners experience a depth that bears fruit in spirit, body and mind. Individuals of any or no faith background can participate in this community-building experience.

The group format further connects individuals to the awareness of others and promotes harmony and positive-thinking towards others in our everyday living.

There are no prerequisites to have any background in prayer to come and take part in this relaxing and contemplative prayer style so feel free to come and check it out!

Time: 12:15 – 12:45 p.m.
Gathering and pre-meeting at 12 pm

PLEASE NOTE: Centering Prayer in Community at Stillpoint is offered on the basis of a freewill donation. Your generous donation to Stillpoint: Center for Spiritual Development may be tax deductible pursuant to the provisions of section 170(c) of the Internal Revenue Code.
