Needs a location
Our latest volunteer project will bring us north of town to Arrow Canyon, where we’ll help Friends of Nevada Wilderness, the BLM and the Sierra Club work on an ongoing project.
Volunteers will install wooden posts near the trail head to Arrow Canyon to establish a clear parking area. This barrier will provide ease of access for visitors and protect the surrounding area. Volunteers will also naturalize old road scars to heal the area and prevent illegal use.
After the event, we can take a quick hike up the deep and narrow canyon, where you’ll find petroglyphs, steep sport climbing routes, and a dam built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the ’30s.
Please bring layers of clothing, a hat, water bottle, snacks and lunch. Tools, gloves, hard hats, posts, extra water, and additional snacks will be provided.
Please remember to answer the questions after RSVPing. If you are using a phone, the questions will not appear. Therefore, please check back again to answer the questions.
