Meet at 5:45.
Ride at 6:00
Night Riding: This will be an all skills no drop ride that will be welcome to all riders new or experienced in riding trails at night. 500 Lumen lights or more are recommended. Enough lumens to not 'out ride' the light...go too fast for the light to illuminate the trail enough to maintain a certain speed. Single light? Should be mounted on the helmet first. You want to turn your head and the light in the direction of where you want the bike to ride. Double or more lights? Helmet first, bar second. Helmet lights illuminate the direction of where you ride your bike, bar light(s) illuminate the trail directly in front of the bike at all times. Helmet light is best 'pointed' for looking farther down the trail for trees, turns etc. Bar lights are best 'pointed' for seeing directly in front of the tire. If you have questions, post up in comments and/or meet early before the ride to ask questions and discuss.
Trail Description: The singletrack is considered intermediate and this ride is meant to help begintermediates improve their skills and fitness on a little tougher terrain.
Ride description: These rides are primarily focused on casual, no drop, begintermediate riders. Faster riders are welcome to group up and ride on their own. People are welcome to meet and ride earlier to get their mileage or speed fix.
Liability: This is not a club associated ride. These are not legal night rides and we will need to keep these rides private within Last Minute Meetup only.
Where to Park
Meet on the AIRPORT side of CNF. The address given is for the Carolina North Land and Management Office. When GPS says you have reached your destination, keep going past the office onto the dirt road. Parking is to the right about 1/4 mile down the road.
Where to eat afterward: Some of our local favorites after every ride.
