Food is without doubts an important pillar for the foundation of any culture.
The intention of this group is to share the flavors of authentic Latino Cuisine such as different versions of Ceviche, Tacos, Arepas, Mofongo, Pupusas, Moqueca, Empanadas and so many others.
I have over 10 years of experience as a trained chef mainly in the city of Miami, Florida, USA. I was blessed with the opportunity to live in a city where every latin food is available in any given corner. Furthermore, I have travel to majority of The Americas continent. I ate and drank its culture and also cooked with local ingredients in every city I visited, from beach shacks to amazon river cruises, with host families and while trekking the Inca Trail.
Moving to Australia has been a great experience so far, but I miss the food I am very passionate about. As I engaged in conversations with people I have had the opportunity to meet, I realized that there is so much from my culinary background I could share.
Therefore, I have made my purpose to bring my roots to your taste buds by gathering those who feel attracted to indulge in the flavors of the "New World", and just have a good time with an full belly.
This is a non-for-profit gathering, however, the cost of fresh ingredients, cutlery and other related expenses are taken under consideration. For this reason, each MeetUp will have a "Production Consideration" unique to its own event. My vision is to eventually be able to support NGOs in Latin America where food scarcity is critical.

These events will be BYOB and I would also like to encourage you to bring anything you would like to share with the others, even if it is a piece of candy (sweets are my favorite treats in my travels).
