Let's escape the city!

Accessible by train, we will be hiking in the Bear Mountain area for a rare 360-degree panoramic view: Bear Mountain and Harriman State Park to the South, the Hudson River and Anthony’s Nose to the east and West Point Reservation to the north and west.

The Plan:

Meet at Grand Central Station at 9:15 am for the Manitou train, take a 1 hour and 15 minutes train ride (9:45 am off peak), and arrive at 11 am.

The Popolopen Torne Loop is a 4.3 mile loop of fresh air!

Expect hiking time: 2 - 3.5 hours depending on our pace.
