The act of laughing is something humans do that is understood by everyone. It is an easy way to elevate mood, promote positive emotions and diffuse stress.
Let's meet up and laugh just because we can! ha ha ha ha ha
I know it sounds bonkers! But I can explain...
The famous saying of ''laughter is the best medicine'' is actually true! The body cannot tell the difference between real and fake laughter, so we reap all the health benefits just by laughing.
Laughter connects us to our inner child and the playful qualities which we might have forgotten. We all need a good laugh, and we need to let go sometimes and stop taking ourselves too seriously. Laughter also releases hormones into the bloodstream that make you feel good. These hormones are related to happiness, warmth, tolerance, compassion and more. Essentially it enhances endorphin levels whilst increasing blood flow and oxygen throughout your body. The act of laughing is something humans do that is understood by everyone. It is an easy way to elevate mood, promote positive emotions and diffuse stress.
When laughing in groups, the mix of feel good stuff is higher. I like to imagine it as the room is a bowl and we are the ingredients of a yummy soup. At the end, the soup leaves your belly full of warmth!
My mother used to say, ''sometimes you need to go out of yourself to come back to yourself.'' This gathering is about laughing just because you can. No judgement, no comedy, no actual jokes, and you don't even need a sense of humour. You just need to make an attempt at letting go! weeeeeee
So here is a safe space to reconnect with your own laughter and inner child. You are welcome!
