Santa Hike - Black Star to Skyline - INTERMEDIATE

  • This location is shown only to members

  • INTRODUCTION

Time to break out those Santa hats!

We will meet at the Skyline Drive Trailhead in Corona, then shuttle a few cars to the Black Star Canyon Trailhead in Silverado where our hike will begin.

    MAPS

    Skyline Drive Trailhead

    Black Star Canyon Trailhead

    DIFFICULTY

This is an intermediate hike because of the distance involved, 13.3 miles.  The entire hike is on fire roads, heading up from Orange County and dropping down into Riverside County on the other side.  The climb and descent are moderate, but the distance make this a relatively tough hike.

    MUST-HAVES

    • Good Attitude - you will be hiking for at least 6 hours!

    • Comfortable shoes/boots with good traction

    • 3 or more liters of water and snacks

    • Sunscreen

    • Hats and trekking poles are also recommended

    POST HIKE MUNCHIES

After the hike, if you are so inclined, we will grab a late lunch at Chronic Tacos!

    CANCELLATION NOTICE

RAIN WILL CANCEL THIS EVENT.  Check the meet up site 24 hours before the event and before leaving.
