Lea Alexander Reiki for People & Animals Pages

While I’m trained in many holistic energetic techniques and have many techniques that I use on different occasions, the technique I use the most is Reiki. Yet the System of Reiki is much more than just a healing technique or modality. It is a spiritual practice that Usui Sensi developed for the average practitioner to to find enlightenment and a greater connection with our True Self.

By practicing the hands on healing portion of Reiki, healing takes place on all levels, of body, mind and spirit. Reiki is both powerful and gentle and can be used as an aid in treating any type of illness for animals and their people. Practicing Reiki on a regular basis keeps our bodies and our animals' bodies in a vital state of balance and health.

Reiki can be used alone or as a complementary care along with traditional western veterinary medical practices. Reiki will never interfere with any other treatments you or your animal is receiving. It should never be considered a replacement for physician or veterinarian treatment but it will support the body and allow healing to take place at its deepest possible levels. Reiki is very subtle and results many times show in very subtle ways, and sometimes in very dramatic ways.

I've been a Reiki Master/Teacher since 1996 in the Usui/Takata Western Tradition. I am also a trained Shinpiden Teacher with International House of Reiki by Frans Steine. I am also registered with the Jikiden Reiki Kenkyukai (Institute) in Japan as Shoden & Okuden attuned since 2011 and am now a Skihan-Kaku (assistant teacher) Shinpiden Level III since 2012. I attended a 7 day Jikiden Reiki training with Frank Arjava Petter in May 2012 and felt that all of my questions about the origins of Reiki and how Reiki was practiced in Usui Sensi's time have finally been answered.

I love teaching Reiki and have a lot to share with experiences of my own, plus what I've learned from some wonderful teachers, both human and animal. I have found that my love of animals has led me to work with animals, and I volunteer a lot of my time to several rescue groups from Equine to Canine.
My Reiki business practice is probably split 50/50 between human and animal clients.

I am also a trained Animal Communicator. It is natural for me to understand what is going on with people's animals and where they feel pain. At the time of transition, being able to communicate with the animal can help to take the guess work out of the situation. I consider it an honor to be in the presence of the Soul of animals as they make their transition into Spirit. Let me know if I can help you or your clients in this way.

If you are interested in a private session, for you or your animal, please let me know. Classes are posted on the Meet Up page.
