WHAT’S STOPPING YOU FROM HAVING A KICKASS RESUME?
***** Please only RSVP on Eventbrite (not here on Meetup) at https://kickassresumeworkshop.eventbrite.com to attend the workshop ***** We are told that having an impactful resume is key to a successful job search. It is an integral part of the job search process and is critical in opening doors for the applicant to be invited to the interview stage. We often work diligently on our resumes but do not get the necessary feedback from the target audience (hiring manager) who will ultimately be making the decision on whether we proceed to the next stage. The aim of this workshop, co-hosted by LWT and Luum, is to provide feedback using real life examples on how resumes can stand out to a hiring manager. Participants will learn the knowledge and skills to customize their very own impressive resume. Attendees are encouraged to bring along their own resumes for constructive feedback during the discussion session. This workshop is limited to only 35 participants, so sign up ASAP on the Eventbrite link below if you are interested. We are also very fortunate to have Amy Paine from Amy Catherine Photography, who has agreed to be at the event to shoot headshots for any participants interested in getting their professional headshot taken. Amy is offering a special of US$125 for one image (normally she charges US$175 per image plus a US$290 photography session fee). If you are interested in having your headshot taken by Amy at the workshop, please send an email to Amy at [masked] to let her know, so she can assign a time slot for you for the headshot during the workshop. If you sign up to have your headshots taken, Amy will take approximately 5 different poses for you to select from. If you do not like any of any of the images, there’s no obligation to purchase any of the images from Amy. You also do not have to sign up for getting headshots in order to attend this resume event >>>>> Luum will host light appetizers and beverages for this event >>>>> LWT (https://www.lwtleadership.org/) is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering women to grow their knowledge, leadership skills and network in order to map their own paths to career success and achieve greater personal and professional impact.
