Thanks to the energy and interests generated by Kay we are going to meet at Memorial Park to capture the park at night. The outing will be Saturday, November 20th.
The agenda will not be strict. However, the ideal photo outing would have most of the group wander in the same direction and general location to allow for safety of those of us who are not so comfortable with the natural areas of the city at night.
Memorial Park was once the site of Camp Logan (http://users.hal-pc.org/~lfa/BB17.html), a training camp for soldiers (http://www.memorialparkconservancy.org/default.aspx/MenuItemID/195/MenuGroup/Home+New.htm)during World War I.
Today, Memorial Park (http://www.visithoustontexas.com/visitors/parks-and-outdoors/listing-details?id=28245)offers vast hiking and biking trails as well as numerous sports facilities.
The group will meet up with John Bielick shortly before dusk, 5:15, to allow everyone to gather and find ideal locations to shoot.
These maps (http://www.memorialparkconservancy.org/default.aspx?menuitemid=210&menugroup=Home+New)might be helpful.
We will meet just off Memorial Drive at the ball field parking areas and start our walk near the Rugby Pitch.
