Community Event Policy

If you're interested in sending an event our way, we do post community events in our newsletter that goes out after each hacknight (about once a month).

To post community events with us, your event must satisfy several of the following criteria:

  • Specifically geared towards intermediate/advanced women coders
  • Have a 50/50 gender ratio on the speaker or leader lineup
  • Have an active member of LWC organizing or significantly contributing to the event
  • Generally use open source technology
  • Provide discounts for our group

We know other groups have different criteria and we support them in doing what works for them. Our membership appreciates that we send them only what is most relevant to our group. We reserve the right to accept or decline events based on other criteria not listed based on the interests of our group.
