The March Lean Agile Manchester meetup is all about getting back to basics. If you're a newbie or experienced Lean/Agile practitioner then please come along and share your experiences.

On the 3rd Wednesday of each month we gather at MadLab Manchester to discuss all things Lean, Agile, and Kanban. The calendar of events can be found here. Please make sure you RSVP as each meeting has a limit of 50 attendees.

Thanks to Ian & everyone willing to field questions last night. It was my first meetup & a great opportunity to find out how co.s have adopted agile & also hear where their pain points have been.

And although I'm no longer under the misconception that agile is the only route to achieve 'effectiveness', it's definitely the direction I wish to pursue - especially after meeting a room full of people clearly enjoying their agile journey. Look forward to the next meet up. Only hope it doesn't clash with Man Utd's next round Champions League :)

Thanks for organising a great meetup last night, Ian. Was great to meet so many new people and have some insightful chats around all things agile/Kanban/Scrum! Now, when's the next one...?

Thanks for a great event. Didn't know quite what to expect, but it was an excellent chance to speak with like-minded people, even if you do have to shout to make yourselves heard over the cacophony of conversations going on all around! Definitely fancy coming back for more.

If anyone has got any presentations etc. that I can use to forward the lean/agile case at my work then I'd be more than willing to read them.

Am also a newbie, I am seriously looking forward to the session. I also have ITIL, Business Analysis and Project Management qualifications and I will be really happy if group members can help me get started in the industry. Thanks Y'all

Welcome to the group Lyndsay! Yes, Wednesday is looking really good. We've got a good balance of people with Agile experience and people looking to get started with Agile so lots of learning to be had.

on the subject of digital boards versus standups...

"The most efficient and effective method of
conveying information to and within a development
    team is face-to-face conversation."

Indeed. So take advantage of Conway's law and split architecture or pull components that way :) e.g. pull end-to-end component from teams who are geographically co-location, not across geographies.
