… have popped up in almost 20 countries and over 100 cities and memberships seem to increase rapidly. IT STARTED IN SILICON VALLEY and spread across the USA
… and now you can already find 10 cities with a LEAN STARTUP MEETUP group of more than 1000 members in each (San Francisco counts >3500, NYC > 3100) OUTSIDE THE US …
… you now find the biggest LEAN STARTUP MEETUP communities in London (>1750 members), followed by Melbourne and Israel (>750), Wellington (>400), Dublin (>300) continuing with Bangalore and Stockholm (>250) Singapour, Vienna, Copenhagen (>200) Rio, Helsinki, Beijing and Brussels (>150).
BUT STRANGELY & INTERESTINGLY ENOUGH THERE ISN'T A LEAN STARTUP MEETUP IN BERLIN (ANYMORE). HOW COME, GIVEN THAT BERLIN IS CONSIDERED THE COOLEST AND MOST PROMISING STARTUP HUB IN EUROPE?
So I thought it’s time to close the cap again. Of course there are lean startup events around the city, but I assume you as a meetup user also appreciate the open, transparent and easy way to use and follow up on MEETUP.
So I thought use the platform!
Who joins me in guessing that there are loads of people out there in Berlin that are familiar with the lean startup concept or have read Eric Ries’ bestseller The Lean Startup: “How Today's Entrepreneurs Use Continuous Innovation to Create Radically Successful Businesses”, (other keywords: Alexander Osterwalder/Yves Pigneur’s: “The Business Model Generation”, Steve Blanks: “The Startup Owner’s Manual”, Ash Maurya “Running Lean” … you name it.) And if Berlin really has become the place to be for startups in Europe then there should be a potential to reach or even bypass the size of the mentioned LEAN STARTUP MEETUP communities in European cities.
IF YOU ARE ALSO CURIOUS to find out if the LEAN STARTUP BERLIN can attract the same traffic and buzz as other innovative metropolis do, join. Meet up with people eager to exchange their experience, thoughts and ideas about this topic. Learn (more) about lean startup.
Let’s develop strategies, meetings, courses or other events around it.
Let’s figure out how to benefit from theses new concepts and apply them to our startup ideas or businesses or form success teams for mutual support.
You are welcome you join. Spread the word. And invite others to partake.
To get started, I have set up a meetup with first address the newbies, to be joined by the experts later and at the end we will all get-to-gether for the social-fun-networking part. (see more info there and please sign up)
