Here's the email I just sent to Dan, repeating for all of you since I'd turned off our mailing list:

Dan - It is not okay for you to take advantage of our meetup to spam our members. We do not want your discount, we do not want your event in Boston, and further, I'd like to ensure that each of our 3,419 members knows not to attend it so am including them here.

To the Lean Startup Circle members - my sincerest apologies. We had the meetup group set so members could email each other, I've now turned that off. Do not, whatever you do, attend these pay to pitch summits held by Young Startup Ventures. They've been called out as a scam who preys on entrepreneurs again and again and again.

I apologize for taking up space in your inbox with this.
