Lean Startup 101: The Get-Together

Lean Startups are gaining traction with startups and entrepreneurs around the world. Our Meetup's goal is to learn actionable ideas that can be utilized right away to test hypotheses, learn, and iterate.

Our first meetup will be an informal meeting to get to know each other and get feedback on future meetups.

6:30 - 6:50: Socialize and Snack
6:50 - 7:20: John Thomas & Arin Sime (Organizers) will talk about what Lean Startups are about.
7:20 - 7:50: Open discussion to gather feedback on what YOU want from this Meetup
7:50 - 8:00: Close-out

If you have experience in using Lean Startup or Customer Development techniques and want to share them, please contact me, and I can see about adding you to the agenda.

Thanks John and Arin for getting this together and Spencer for leaning us the HackCvill house.

I have one suggestion. I would like to see a shared knowledge repository that Lean Cville Circle members can contribute to. I would think an online wiki of some kind would be great for this. I personally come across interesting article or tools that I find useful and would love to share them with the group. Categorizing these links by Articles, Books, Tools, etc in a single shared point of reference would be a great tool.

Personally I think github would be a good service to host this. Github pages are free.

and git and github ingeneral is a great collaboration tool. I don't mind setting it up if the group likes the idea.

Ok, made some progress setting this up. You can see it here http://leanstartupcir.... The wiki is open to all, just sign into github and you will be able to access it. If you want to help try to whip the landing page above into shape, you can checkout the repository, make your changes, and then submit a pull request.

Thanks Owen. This looks like it will really be a great resource. I'll add some stuff to the wiki and play around with the front page when I have a moment. If anyone wants to do the same, feel free to proceed.
