David Hussman - Producing Products, Product Developers & Productive Communities
Wednesday, October 7, 2015
5:30 PM to 7:30 PM

231 South LaSalle Street, Chicago, IL (map)

Topic: Producing Products, Product Developers and Productive Communities

Description: Once you start delivering, the question that arises is “Are you delivering the right thing?” Once you embrace this challenge, you find that a great deal of the metaphors we live by may need to change. For example, instead of talking about “Scrum Teams”, you start talking about product teams or other language that is product over process in nature. This talk will ask you to throw out tired labels and empty metaphor and engage in contemplating a way of working where learning, validation and innovation are fed by agile practices and ideal. Please show up ready to think, question and explore your options.

About David: David leads DevJam Studios, a creative production house in Minneapolis composed of producers, makers and coaches working in small and large companies around the world. As mentors and practitioners, DevJammers focus on using agile methods to help people and companies improve their product learning through faster deliver cycles and responsive engineering. DevJam success comes from pragmatically blending technology, people, and processes to more quickly validate product ideas and investments.

To comply with building security, please register with full name and have available a  state or government issued identification card to present to security.

The meet up will begin at 5:30 pm with refreshments and networking. We will begin the presentation exactly at 6:00 pm.
