I heard Stephanie Hay talk about it at the 2012 Startup Oulook hosted by Potomac Tech Wire.
Over the past six months I have been learning that the path to owning your own business and being successful is not an easy one and is not one you will accomplish without support. Being a recent veteran, I have had a huge learning curve when it comes to breaking into the tech venture world and understanding corportate America in general. My goal is to meet fellow entrepreneurs that are both successful and just starting out. Learn from each others experiences and provide a community of support as we live in the trenches of entrepreneurship.
Obviously, jut getting out of the military my skills specifically to start-ups are not all that much, except for those that want to learn from my mistakes. However, I have a Masters in management and leadership, I'm attending JHU for a Masters in Marketing, specifically for the purposes of my business. I can offer my leadership experience, management advice, and HR (while being mostly military) advice. Other than that I have a good head on my shoulders and I'm fun to be around!
I recently separated from the AF &continue to serve as a Capt. in the Reserves. I've started a virtual exchange exclusively for the military community offering a Web 2.0 platform to exchange goods/services and connect w/military-friendly companies.
