Want to know how to survive if you get stuck in the wilderness? Join Survivalist Barry Mindich of the Suburban Foragers to learn how to build a shelter from what nature provides on the forest floor. Sticks, leaves, twigs, and tree branches combine to provide a comfortable shelter to protect you from exposure to the elements.

Exposure to the elements is the leading cause of hospitalization and death for those who find themselves lost, injured or stranded outdoors overnight.

During this one day workshop you will construct an "Immediate Need" emergency shelter. In a survival situation, shelters spell the difference between life and death.

Visit to learn more about who we are and what we do.
