What we're about

This group is for people (single or attached) who love curry and live in, or close to, Ledbury, Malvern and Hereford!

The Curry Club's core activity is trying out different Indian restaurants in Hereford, Malvern and Ledbury with like-minded curry-loving people, in search of the finest curries and friendliest service! Wherever we hear there's a good curry house...we will be sure to try it out!

We have already got some favourites which we'll be re-visiting - for instance the Thai curry dishes at the Thai Rama in Colwall, and the Everest Eatery in Malvern Link.

We are always interested in suggestions of new places, in our search for the best curries (but the deal is....if you make a suggestion, then you have to go!). We love all types of curry - Indian, Nepalese, Thai etc.

There are no membership fees. However, we do ask that if you attend a curry night then you contribute £1 - this goes towards paying the fee for the Meet-Up site, and the surplus will be donated to local charities through the year.

So if you love curries, like trying new places, and would like to 'meet up' with an eclectic group of fellow curry-lovers for some good food, conversation and laughter, then do come and join us!

Takeaway Tuesday - an online dining Meetup!

Online event

If you want to meet up for a curry, but can't make the Roadmaker on Thursday, then organise yourself your own curry, and come and dine with your curry friends via Zoom. This is an informal drop-in meetup - you don't have to actually be eating a curry to join in!

A return to the Roadmaker (Gorsley, near Newent)

Roadmaker Inn

It's been ages since the Curry Club went to the Roadmaker Inn - it's just by the side of the road in Gorsley, which is just off Junction 3 of the M50. This Nepalese curry house is run by ex-Ghurkas who have a mischievous sense of humour.....as well as making great curries.

Try some Sri Lankan street food .....in Cheltenham!

The Coconut Tree Cheltenham

The Coconut Tree has been recommended by Helen and Charlie. It's unusual in that it serves Sri Lankan 'street food'. From the website (www.thecoconut-tree.com): Enjoy the warmth of Sri Lankan hospitality & cuisine, our dishes are rich in Ceylon spices with recipes going back generations from our very own parents' kitchens. Try a traditional Hopper, Kotthu and Devilled dishes, mix them with our tapas style menu. As it's a bit further for some of us to go, on a dark day, this is a lunchtime event. If we get a lot on the waitlist, we'll repeat the event the following weekend.

Plans for the annual Christmas Curry night

United Kingdom

Every year we've been having a special curry meetup ahead of Christmas. And there's every reason to have a special curry night this year! But with the high probability that we will be limited to a maximum of 6, the plan is to make sure we fill those 6 seats, and have several events all on one night. But where? Check out the Christmas Curry Poll - to be found under 'More', or try clicking this link https://www.meetup.com/Ledbury-and-Hereford-Curry-Club/polls/ Cast your votes as to where you personally would be happy to go for a Christmas Curry. Please do so by the end of October so tables can be booked in the relevant restaurants. If there's a really good place that is not on the list, and you'd love to go there...then add it in the comment box below.
