  • Asylum Seekers and Refugees English Conversation Club

    Mill Hill Unitarian Chapel

    Native and high level English speakers required to help. The English Conversation Club meets every Thursday afternoon in the city centre. It's an informal and friendly place for asylum seekers and refugees to improve and practise their English. No need to be a teacher, just come down, have a cup of tea, and chat to people from all over the world.     Casa Colombiana

    After the success of the first meeting, Casa Colombiana is now running this Spanish-English Language exchange meeting EVERY Saturday from 5-7pm Come and meet like-minded people for the whole meeting, or just drop in for an hour. The meeting is well organised so that you will definitely get your chance to practice your new language and support others to learn yours. We encourage you to speak your native tongue clearly and to correct the errors you hear and you will receive the same support when it's your turn! Casa Colombiana are giving us free taster tapas and you might also win a prize! Entrance is free and there is the opportunity to make a small, voluntary donation to the www.leedsconversationproject.org to support their Refugee English Conversation Club.
