This Meetup is a vehicle for making LWA ride information available to our members, and to the public. If you are not currently a LWA member, we hope you will sample some of our rides, and will decide to join our club so that you may take advantage of the many additional benefits such as: Rider Insurance, Sponsor Discounts, Monthly Grill & Chill, Special Events, Picnics, a Holiday Party and the premium features of the club's RideWithGPS account. Lancaster Covered Bridge Classic(Not a LWA event)

HACC-Lancaster Campus

The Lancaster Covered Bridge Classic (formerly the Covered Bridge Metric Century) presented by the Lancaster Bicycle Club is a classic Pennsylvania ride now in its 41st year. It offers beautiful routes of 100 miles, 65 miles, 33 miles, and 16 miles, covering some of the most scenic cycling terrain anywhere. Each route traverses through covered bridges and past Amish farms. The routes all cover rolling terrain with only moderate climbing with the exception of 100 mile route. The 100 mile option is a challenging ride that includes a hilly 38 mile loop that starts and ends at the lunch rest stop in Stevens, PA. There are no official rest stops on the 38 mile loop, so please stock up at the lunch stop. Registration ends Friday August 16, 2019 or 2,200 riders. There are no day of registrations. On-site check-in required to be eligible for SAG and rest stops. Helmets are REQUIRED. Lunch is provided on the 100 mile and 62 mile route and lunch is provided to all riders at the start/finish. Each route is well marked. The ride is fully supported with frequent rest stops and mechanical support. SAG services for transport if you cannot continue. All rules of the road must be followed. On-site parking at HACC campus. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult rider. No CBC branded T-shirts and Jerseys will be available for purchase. Pre-orders only. The CBC is part of the Bicycling Trifecta, a collaboration of Central Pennsylvania’s 3 Premier cycling events. Women's Ride Sunday 1:30 pm Velo

Valley Preferred Cycling Center

Join like-minded women for a Sunday 1:30 road ride in the beautiful rolling hills of Berks and Lehigh Counties. Most Sundays, two rides will be offered. A shorter ride of 1 hour 10-12 mph pace and a longer 2 + hour ride 13-15 mph pace. Bring water, food, extra bike tube and an adventurous spirit. Helmets required. Ride cancels if rain or high winds. • What we'll do This will be an easy trail ride covering 10.4 miles. The pace will be 8-10 mph with comoradary more important than speed. If the group decides to go further, than we can. Perfect for newbies or those looking for a leisurely ride. • What to bring A hybrid, mountain or cross bike is suitable for this ride. A Helmet is required, water, snacks and a spare tube are recommended. Camera if you are so inclined. • Important to know There are restrooms and food options available at the trailhead.
