Join LWA for a Full Century on Halloween, Saturday 31 October. We will be using the *Gap Gallop 2014* route from the LWA Ride With GPS library. This route will take us from Upper Saucon to Riegelsville where we’ll cross the Delaware into NJ and start heading north to Phillipsburg, Belvidere and Columbia before we head back into PA and start heading south to Easton and eventually back to Upper Saucon again. It will be a long day in the saddle, so don’t forget your chamois butt’r. https://ridewithgps.com/routes/5469210 Expect a 14-15 mph average speed with stops along the way to refuel. This is a "no one left behind" ride; we will regroup as necessary. ** Please note: We will start and finish at Upper Saucon Community Park; not next to the tennis courts at DeSales U as indicated in the RWGPS file. Call or text[masked] with any questions. LWA COVID-19 Guidelines: * All riders must be free of any COVID related symptoms for the past 14 days. If you are feeling sick, please do not ride! * No more than 10 riders per group. Day-of ride walk-ons will not be permitted - you must RSVP through MeetUp to reserve your spot. * Please practice common courtesy toward all your fellow riders. * Social Distancing is required. Masks/face coverings should be carried with you at all times and used when within 6 feet of other people. (e.g., at the start, at stops, etc.) * If you must sneeze, cough, blow your nose, etc., safely reposition yourself to ensure that no one is in your slipstream. Thank you for your patience while we work our way through these unusual circumstances. Our goal is to keep all riders safe.
My Crystal Cave route, with bathroom break at Bowers Park at mile 26. Road bike, spare tube, helmet and water required. Average 14 miles per hour. Please expect to wait for your ride leader if faster. COVID green phase applies. Check out my route https://ridewithgps.com/routes/28443713
Close out the weekend with a nice 35 - 45 mile ride through beautiful country north and west of Covered Bridge Park. In this terrain we will be climbing some hills - no way to avoid that! I'll post the exact route a day or two before the ride. We'll maintain between 13.5 - 14.5 mph average moving speed, but will wait at the top of hills and no one gets dropped. Bring food and water, as places to buy a snack are few and far between in this region. Until it's over, LWA pandemic rules apply, so limit of 10 riders, and bring a mask for signup in the park. Rain cancels. We should be able to be back in time for Eagles kickoff!
