  • Unique 12 hour startup accelerator at Coventry University Enterprises

    Unique 12 hour startup Accelerator and Dragon’s Den in Coventry University. Saturday 19th May 2018, 8:00-20:00. Are you planning to launch a new service or product? Are you looking for your first customer? Do you need investment? Even if you do not have an idea, would you like to work in a startup? We will help you launch during a unique program that lasts only 12 hours. The accelerator for early stage startups will focus on learning how to build a Minimum Viable Product or Service and how to talk to your customers. At the end of the event you will get to pitch your idea to investors! During the event, you will meet mentors who will support you in your future ventures, you will find potential partners for your startup, you will pitch in front of investors. The mentors have international experience in setting up startups and will provide insights into developing the idea. The investors will assess your progress at the end of the workshop and will decide, if they are going to invest.   • Dragon's Den in the University of Leicester

    • What we'll do You are all invited to the Dragon's Den of the Startdoms Informatics Accelerator at the University of Leicester. This year in the startup accelerator participated 20 third year students from the Informatics Department. All of these students developed software products that are ready to be launched. So, we have arranged for some of them to present their startups in a Dragon's Den. The students will pitch in front of an experienced panel of investors, seasoned entrepreneurs and mentors who will provide feedback and hopefully funding for their ventures.     The event will shoe how SMEs can become more sustainable by incorporating Corporate Social Responsibility into their work and at the same time help local organisations respond to the social needs facing their communities. While businesses help others thrive, they can also help themselves achieve greater awareness. CSR can certainly help spreading the message of their company in the most positive manner. Zinthiya Ganeshpanchan is the founder and CEO of the Zinthiya Trust a registered Charity supporting women and girls survivors of violence in UK (East Midlands). She has also acted as Trustee and Board member to various other local projects and has a good understanding of the third sector and its needs to become sustainable. With her experience she is now supporting develop corporate social responsibility projects to SME's that can not only help contribute to community regeneration but also attract and retain staff and increase revenue. *As always, after the talk, we will have the chance to socialise and have fun.

This talk is about approaches all organisations need to take to encourage innovation and become agile (or vice versa). Short Bio: Krishna Thakur MBA, MSP, PMP, CSM, is an Agile Coach, Management Consultant and founder of Capri consulting Ltd. He specialises in Agile transformation, servant leadership, strategy and collaboration with experience in diverse industry sectors. Starting out his career as an Aeronautics Engineer in the Air Force, he now supports, and builds teams (rather than missiles) to deliver value to customers. Highly intuitive, analytical, and imaginative, leading large agile transformation programs for global brands, helping them engage with their customers through adopting an agile approach to deliver innovation, robust technology and beautiful design.
