Hike Leader: Cathy
Edgewood Park and Natural Preserve near Redwood City is famous for its magnificent display of wildflowers each spring. The Park's 467 acres contains a mixture of woodlands and grasslands. We will hike a 4.1 mile loop with ~400 feet elevation gain on the Edgewood, Franciscan, Ridgeview, Live Oak, and Sylvan trails. Bring a lunch, sun protection, and warm layers if it’s a chilly day. Dogs are not allowed in this natural preserve.
Meet at the Edgewood Park-n-Ride lot for a very short drive to the park (the parking is limited at the trailhead so its better if we leave most cars in the park-n-ride lot).
• From 280, take the Edgewood Road exit.
• From SF, go left under the freeway. From San Jose, turn right at the end of the ramp.
• The park-n-ride lot will be on the left.
