Satchell Lane, Hamble, Southampton, SO31 4QD, Hamble
Here is another trip for everyone incl. absolute Beginners, within easy reach of London and we try something new: You can either join Friday evening or Saturday morning avoiding the rush out of the office on Friday evening and sleeping only one night on the boat, if you come on Saturday.
Hope to see you all...
Meet at the boat around 1900/2000 and have a safety briefing, then go and have a relaxed dinner and sleep on the boat.
We start at around 0930 depending on weather, wind and crew we aim to sail around the Solent and to the Isle of Wight, visiting Beaulieu and Cowes or maybe Lymington or Yarmouth. Then go ashore for a stroll and/or dinner and stay overnight in one of the marinas, sleeping on the boat. There are some really nice pubs and bars if we decide to "push the boat out" a bit... We will agree on a pub etc. to make sure everybody is happy and the whole thing does not become too expensive. Or if we want to we can load up the boat with lovely food, cook together have a great dinner on board and put the savings into lots of champagne (I don't drink much but it's just an idea ;-)
Depending on weather and the night before we will get up at a leisurely time, have breakfast on the boat and start the new year with a day of leisurely sailing. We will arrive at around 1600 tidy the boat and return to London.
